OUR MISSION: In
2004, Rampart Rock’n Jazz, Inc. (RRJ) was formed and in 2006 gained
its non-profit status as a 501
(c) 3 (fully certified IRS tax-deductible) volunteer, musical
organization in Woodland Park, CO. RRJ has formed to promote vocal
and instrumental music oriented towards younger participants and
audiences, including the baby
boomer generation, beyond
what is currently available in our community, year-round. The vocal
(choral harmony) portion of that genre has
historically been lacking, locally, and we have plans to solve that gap, as our
initial step. We have
long-term desire to bring several concerts yearly which educate, involve and
excite the youth and children of our Southern Colorado area. Our Christmas
holiday concert which intends to include youth performers and gift bags for
disadvantaged youth attendees, is one example. (We
need your donations to be able to purchase these gift bags/contents for
the disadvantaged, local, children.)
Our charter is to excite the youth
and 'baby-boomers' of Teller
County to our concerts and genre! In general, we are focused on presenting Woodland Park, Divide, Cripple Creek, Florissant, and surrounding communities, the combination of musical types you would see at a modern jazz festival (typically), Jazz, Soul, Blues, Soft (classic) Rock, and maybe some folk music, with a concentration on the vocal presentation, both a cappella, and with minimal instrumental accompaniment, with concentration on 1950s-present music. If you wish to promote this type of musical presentation in Teller County, please send your tax-deductible donation to: Rampart Rock'n Jazz, Inc. P.O. Box 821 Woodland Park, CO 80866
